the American household appliance manufacturers association (AHAM) established a special smart electricity working group in October last year. In addition to cooperating with the National Institute of standards and Technology (NIST) and EPRI to develop smart electricity standards, the working group will also be committed to studying smart appliances that adapt to the latest smart electricity technology. Such household appliances will work together with electricity efficiently, enabling consumers to set the power and time of equipment independently, reduce or not use electricity during peak power supply, and even choose alternative renewable energy sources such as solar energy and wind energy, so as to improve energy efficiency, save electricity charges, and help improve power supply security

Douglas said that whirlpool, an American household appliance manufacturer, has begun to develop smart electrical appliances, while Chinese household appliance manufacturers still know little about smart electricity, so they should actively pay attention to the development of this new technology field
